Are you ready to learn how to hand appliqué? Joyce will teach you the freezer paper method of hand appliqué, which includes learning how to trace and label your pattern, prepare your background and appliqué pieces, and hand sew your appliqué pieces to the background. She will talk about thread choices, needles, and introduce you to other notions that are useful in hand appliqué. The appliqué project (from the book, Hand Appliqué, by Alex Anderson) includes curves, circles, leaves, vines, and stars – the basic shapes found in appliqué. Book purchase ($14.95), less 20% discount, is required. This is a two-part class: Wednesdays, Sep 29 and Oct 6, from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm.
